An easy way to start to save the planet is reducing the 'stuff' being produced. Yes - you need clothes, but can you op-shop, swap with friends rather than seek to buy it new? Hopefully this mammoth clearing of 'things' will result in treats and treasures for others. I've decided that we are professional hoarders and as the plan is to move with minimal excess items ~ inspired the thoughts below. Another of Richard's pics above.
I thought starting with Ballarat Buy Swap & Sell on Facebook as the first place to go. I've not warmed to ebay so I cant see a 'shop' being set up by me any time soon. Part of me says, box it up and give it to the Salvos - but I'd like the satisfaction of contributing to the household cash flow. And, please correct me if I am wrong, selling items previously purchased, used or gifted don't play up on tax or family payments. So double the score ~ space and savings...
♒ Hear the Warning ♒
Listen to the wind as is whistles through the trees
Carrying along messages, skipping under leaves
We need to start a might row,
Our planet needs repairing now
What will be tomorrow, if we don't care about today
If yesterday cannot be changed, do you think no way
What can I, one person do
Get together with one other like you
Make a change
Take just a little step
We've much to gain
For future benefit
It will be in our favour
Taking little effort
Work with your neighbour
Hear the warning
Can you foresee a future, one with many generations
One with hope and life through uniting of the nations
What we must do today
Join together, pave the way
To make a change
Take just a little step
We've much to gain
For future benefit
It will be in our favour
Taking little effort
Work with your neighbour
Here is your warning
