Bright Sunny Skies

You can almost feel the warm just looking at it...
Thoroughly enjoying them!
I've been trying to work out where all the hammering going on in the neighbour was - and realised it was the 'other' side having their new entrance put in ~ he's not been well and the steps are just too much.  Its a small blessing we have only the one step at each door ~ less enjoyed in times of flooding.  It's times like now.

Oh those chickens ~ we've got to get in with them sometime this week and do some serious wing clipping because one of the neighbours further over is a little unimpressed finding chickens over in her yard.  We're rather impressed they get so far across visiting! *cheers* Next door either side is understandable - why they have the need to travel out of our big yard is beyond me - still, they are by-passing dogs on both sides to see further, so a clip and a snip must be done.  We've never had the need until now. I added a heap of scraps and munchies to the compost which seemed to keep them around the yard.  14 eggs today - this included yesterdays.  Gave the neighbours a dozen.

Then it is time for the little boys to 'go with the chicken lady' and come back as roasts!  Only, I am the chicken lady and Husband and I shall endeavour to remember the choppins of childhood.  Will have to pay a visit to BackYard Poultry and perhaps ask on the Simple Savings forum for experiences and advice.  There will be someone on SS for sure!  Time to chop off a head, plunge in water, pull out feathers!  Sounds rather barbaric!  Definitely self sufficiency in the making...

Pasta Carbonara or Bolognese is the dinner plan - plus I've therapy mid afternoon.  Almost lunchtime and I'm yet to brush my teeth.  Might throw on a jumper or jacket and get outside for a bit - looks lovely, was glorious earlier - should be even better by now! Bonus of little or no breeze.  MMmmm - clean teeth...

Out to the 'nursery' to plant in some new seeds - they should be up as seedlings and more will go in when the bigger beds are a little warmer.  That was fun ~ along with the sprouting lettuce, leeks beans and basil (finally) - I've put in seeds for beetroot, broccoli, chilli, cucumber and oregano.  Some of the seeds might be a little old - I'll know better in four weeks. I really could spend a few dollars(!) at a new gardening shop - its called Gardening4Kids and it means SmallBoy will have gloves that fit, and we can have a pair for small visitors.

I like the organic seed range, the wind socks and the little lady-beetle.  Have a look if you get the chance and do let Caroline know I sent you. I'm going to order for Christmas. Oh won't that be a totally differnt set of socks in with the sox n jox. *grins*  Saving away for a set of colour!!

We plan to pick up an order of organic seedlings and pots from a grower in Daylesford who will be in Brunswick - literally around the corner from Dear MIL - just getting together an extra $20-$50 from the budget.  Must find an extra $50 for the lawns.  We were not going to hire the self-propelledDeutscher H26 hand-push mower/slasher because it's around $80 to hire for the day, however Bylsma has now got half-day hire rates.  With Mudguts over to give a hand and hopefully beat the predicted storms of tomorrow ~ things will look gorgeous for next weekend.

No spending today - yippee!  Husband read the newspaper in the newsagents while waiting for the SmallBoy to finish school.  Rather than collect him from the door, with his boosted confidence I'd like to see him walk a little way before getting in the car to drive home ~ its not about saving petrol, more about developing some healthy habits - and get to see any news, jobs or wanted from the local area.  Multi-tasking!

I've got a mystery shop over the other side of town tomorrow.  Just a shop check ~ reimbursement of the spend by submitting a report within 12hrs.  Easy - after the mowing. As the mental lucidity becomes stronger I realise for all the gaps of the past three or so years, gee I am getting 'more of my brain back' week by week.  And boy do I always seem to pack it in.  In some ways ~ everything happening at the moment is a reminder and reinforcer to keep the focus here on the family, on  our home, my continued recovery and rehabilitation, SmallBoy's education, Mudgut's integration and Husband's transformation *chuckles*  Oh that's a great summation, but it is on par with where the signs are guiding us aligning with where we are actually going. *smiles*  I've said that a bit lately.

This week's plan:
Meals for the week are planned now, so that's the laundry done, menu, items are getting sorted and I am working on this eBay store account.  Fun and games - I mean what if I don't like the name of my shop in the end - - dilemmas delemons deoranges...

Breakfasts can be cereal, muesli, pumpkin bread toast, English muffins or yoghurt.  I'll have a green smoothie in there - have cantaloupe, kiwi, banana, pears, apples plus I really do want to make this leftover muesli slice.

Got a phone call conference type thing about an outstanding account.  Hoping it won't be a situation that goes bottom up but I can sleep knowing I've always given more than was asked and usually charged under the over.  Good learning experience and, if for nothing else, some method changes occur and an understanding of achievements and pride be agreed.  I'm pleased with my contributions, move whichever way is required without being undervalued further. *grins* Too easy - she hopes...

Then off to call the home phone line and the credit card peoples to see if we can drop one to incoming calls only and the only in for an interest freeze.  I really do need to get some fresh fruit and veg.  And some lunch ideas.  Should keep our eyes out for a sandwich press or a toasted sandwich maker ~ in the last few months our 4-slice toaster, Breville press and the toasted sandwich makers have all sparked up and ceased to operate.  They ranged in age from 5yrs to 15+years (we cant remember whose toasted press it is but both agree one of us had it prior to meeting the other.  Irrelevant now - its gone. Binned. Out of here. All 'toasted'.  Bummer...

Bonus to know that a sample delivery of a new yoghurt range is scheduled for Thursday - that will save a few dollars in next weeks grocery shop.  Bummer about it is the delivery is being made to my MIL in the big smoke for refrigeration requirements but I am not sure if we will be seeing her in the next two weeks.  Might see if Husband is going to give his mum a hand around the house next week ~ its just too big a trip to go up and back in a day, especially while gearing up and resting/limbering up for Powderfinger.
With my sister, friends of mine and Husband - including a dear dear friend sharing the weekend with her 10th anniversary AND we got probably the last available room in a 50km radius *maybe a tad exaggerated on the perimeter distance*  Thank goodness for Wyndham and now she and her hubby have a weekend child-free, a weekend with friends and a concert, plus a romantic room away from a very packed house within 5mins of us!  Oh we are truly blessed by some special karma, angels and vibrations at the moment.  I am getting better at making the most of this awesome connection to life at the moment.

Quick horoscope for tomorrow, ummm, today:
It’s the Moon’s involvement that is giving you an intuitive read on people and situations, allowing you to get your timing spot on. You'll intuitively know where others are coming from and also who best to align yourself or give your time and attention to. This has the added bonus of heightening your instincts when it comes to a sense of synchronicity in the air, with following your gut or a hunch more likely to put you in the right place at the right time.
I am happy to hear that information!  Things really have been moving in a direction that is so good and utterly beneficial to maintain.  It's changing the whole atmosphere in our lives.  And affirming the directions and choices are on the right track.

Most of the week is getting this much talked about eBay store up to declutter.  I've been given some pointers, picking out the fantastic, good and someone might want it for $1 - gathering up envelopes, satchels and bags, got labels and bubble wrap.  Still negotiating the whole store thing.  Oh I am just a woosie - will have that up by tomorrow.  OK!?  Good.

Little sparrows perched on a branch
Can fly away if danger's feared
Sometimes we don't get the chance
Here comes the hunter stealthily
Moving the smile, a glance
Taking over you left, on a blind-side

Recovery ain't fast
Reactions sometimes slow
Thanks be it will not last
As things change
Forward we go
Unhurriedly

Another winter comes to pass
Ghosts with frozen hearts now gone
With the springtime warming fast
I'm like a changed spirit, alive and new
There's guides and love along this path
In peace and harmony, the universe on my side
