Dance like the video won't be uploaded ~ Love like you've never been un-friended ~ Blog like nobody's following

Sometimes you're on the up; sometimes you're on the down

Bit of a slower start this morning, I think it all just stopped really...
You know how I said the stretch is not really felt when I do exercise ~ man I stand corrected!  Holy tore-lido Batman ~ got muscles and bits in there screaming today.  Hot shower helped plus after a liberal slosh of Deep Heat super strength I currently smell like I've fallen in a vat of menthol and something that will burn the hairs in my nostrils if I breathe in too deeply *grins*
Attractive eh!?!

Now, I did get to bed a little late last night ~ doing the budget and man it is a bitch of a thing at the moment (no offence intended *grins*)  It's a slimy little thing that just balances at the end of the month, with bits running late in some places, and creating a few headaches.  Still, being courteous and honest, getting in contact with those we owe, talking and making sure things are out there up front and not hiding out of view to have no future issues has been a good thing. If only some could return the favour ~ still no word from whoever that energy company was represented by the knock at the door.  Not surprised really ~ told me all I was doing wrong, how he could do a better deal and no back up.  Too common a scenario ~ its always someone else who falls up.  Hey you building that bridge brick by brick ~ get over it!!!  Takes but a minute to send an email, five to print, pack and send snail mail ~ 3-4 weeks is well long enough.  No thank you Red Energy ~ good to chat to ~ terrible to do business with...  Still if you don't read, listen, ask ~ you don't get the business do you dear??

And I might well have considered them, after finding out a little more information of course.  Our electricity and gas is combined and we pay $225 a month to cover both, either being in credit occasionally but more often behind in these cold winter months (yes, it is Spring, but only by 8 days).  As I think we are in credit, I have asked for a 'stay' on this month's debit.  Pushing it for a drop in amount required to be paid - if I get both requests - score!  If only one of them ~ score (still!).  Neither being agreed to makes no difference this month - there's no moola in the account to pay them.  If it costs me a few dollars in late fees, this time, so be it.

A few moment later...
Thanks Bec, thanks Trish ~ how could I consider going elsewhere? So we have had the payment for September waived, and a new plan set in place for $200 per month starting mid October.  All in communication and listening!! Well done team!  Looking at the history, usage is high in winter and very low in summer and we are not 'really' behind on the account because it was on target at the last payment, its just accrued an account balance during the month.  I admit to having heaters going 24/7 in winter ~ hot lamps and the heat bank in the bathroom ahead of showers ~ something in the bedroom in the evening to heat it up now I don't "live" in that room any more!  Ahh the memories of cabin fever!! *grins*

Might have to report that on Simple Savings.  Forgive me, as always, if I repeat myself but I wanted to share this article which appeared in one of the state's Sunday magazines.  It is about the Lippey family, Fiona and Matt run Simple Savings.  A writer from the Good Weekend came and stayed with them for a few days and "Back to Basics" was the result. The pages are a little arse-about but it should open on the first page.  Then go previous to page 3, page 2, page 1 then page 6.  It is a really interesting read.  Remember if you're going to join Simple Savings, please use my banner because its got an affiliate link and I get free membership time!  Love the bonus months ~ I'm set until 2013 from memory!!  As it is a savings tool I use almost daily, and a great place to read, chat and learn, I will be using it until then and beyond for sure!

Having had benefit yesterday playing in the garden, I am torn.  Today must be a rest day (post exercise) and it is one way I can self-enforce 'slow and easy'.  But I want to play in the garden.  I want to tidy the kitchen properly.  Sure I can lay here on the bed, type away and make phone calls today - and I will - but I want to play outside. *grumps*  Not fair! Oh and I am sick of snotty princess prima-donna's who think everything is about them.  So who thinks I am talking about you?? Talking about the chickens to be honest ~ but it was too tempting to have heart race!  Sorry evil ~Mands ~~ It's the cat's fault, he's evil too I tells ya!

Trivia:
At precisely 6 minutes and 7 seconds after 0500 on 8 September this morning it was 05:06:07 08-09-10. This won't happen again for one thousand years.  I missed it ~ did you?  I know people who were up, possibly.  I was not one of them :D

Today I didn't have a real breakfast, just a coffee.  Not awake really when the body had to start functioning, but I had more of the yummy toast - its quinoa & rye - with left over tuna mornay on top.  Scrumptious really.  Ginger and water to drink - very refreshing and keeps the water levels up.

Now that is it Hump Day, mid-week, Wednesday ~ I guess a bit of planning needs to go into the weekend.  Hopefully we won't have too much rain.  Heck if I can wangle it, wouldn't mind seeing how the transformation of MILs house has gone and pop in to see Dad's work in progress. What did I plan for dinner tonight?  That's right - a pie from left over roast we don't have.  Just SmallBoy and I, unless MudGuts lobs here with some tale of woe or *gasp* the truth as to why he didn't turn up yesterday and couldn't be bothered calling.  Not that I stress - this is the same ol' when he gets his pay.  Must go to Guf for online gaming time.  I might start fortnightly payments for him to learn to budget with.  This could be fun.

Spoke to the darling young man *tongue planted firmly in cheek* and got the surprise response that his has been cleaning his place.  Well done, says I, all day?  Yes, hence no calls.  Strangely, after saying he was having a quiet night, when I offered to come do his inspection now ~ it wasn't ready.  Actually, it wasn't done.  Well, he had put the clean clothes away - most of them. And the towels and bathmat - because he used them.  They are lying on the floor of the hall. *shakes head*
Does he really think I didn't already know it was going to be something like that.  No - no anger, disappointment or guilt thrown at him - more a 'mate, you know I knew, why BS me?' and 'I really hope one day when we have this conversation, it has really happened - that would be great'.  I already said awesome that he had not gone to Guf as I assumed but had actually been home, had a shower, cooked an omelette for himself and gone to bed.  He just figured I'd work it out or think he was at Guf... *rofl*

Being Tight-arse Thursday tomorrow, I think I will cook something from the Tight-Arse cookbook ~ right little treasure it is.  Make a basic pasta sauce and turn it into 15 different meals; about 10 different ways to use eggs; and this beauty which is for hamburgers when you have no meat!

Peanut Butter Burgers
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 small onion (finely chopped)
3 tablespoons water
6 tablespoons bread crumbs (2 slices of bread, crumbed)
Seasoned flour to coat
Oil to pan fry

Mix all together with the back of a spoon until you form a stiff paste-like mass. Form into six patties. Shake in a bag lightly with seasoned flour, flatten and pan fry in a little oil until browned and crispy on the outside.
Serve in a bun with sauce, cheese, fried egg, salad. These can also be rolled into 12 'meat balls' or rissoles and served with boiled/steamed veggies and a sauce/gravy over mash potatoes.

I will be making these some time in the next few weeks ~ when they were smaller, the kids always scoffed these down.  I like using those little dinner rolls for the younger ones and make the patties a little smaller. I don't think I've ever served them to the Husband.  Might be interesting to see his take on the texture - they do taste really nice!

Made up a batch of the biscuit dough and have them in the freezer ready for next week.  I've enough biscuits for this week's school lunches and after school snacks but will be needing more 'treats' next week.  Especially important while Husband gets out of the habit of ducking to the shop around the corner or using the vending machine at work.  So THAT's where the Crunchie wrappers came from.

Alrighty then.  Unless otherwise inspired come and meander some more, I might have an early night.  Dinner is almost ready (I really have no idea what filling I have grabbed and put in pastry ~ if inedible, we will have eggs on toast!).  There is nothing on television that attracts my attention, might play with my novel, template up some of these documents and get some of those spiritually guided insights on the move!

Prayers, thoughts, wishes and healing lights needed to aid my dear dear Glowie Bug, Millie while she battles on ~~ and some special prayers to my elderly neighbour (gee - he'd hate that) who is being operated on after a series of strokes.  Hope to have him about as a neighbour a little longer ~ by helping him in his garden, we will learn so much valuable plant information.  His garden is stunning and wonderful to look out on to, as I have for much of the past two years.

Wishing you both love, light and healing prayers.  May the Angels & Goddesses that surround you both protect you now.

Moments in the Garden

When you slide along a rainbow
Picking flowers from the leaves
Off the trees as they pass by you
Floating driven by the breeze
Stopping to smell the roses
Puddle jumping for a while
Take the time to stop and give thanks
Be rewarded with sunny smiles

Merrily Trippy, holding on tight
Happy Kristen, noises in the night
Dizzily Mary, running to garden
Precious Jade, laying in the sun

When you listen past the day's sound
Hear the quiet in the still
Imagine fairies and pixies playing
You might even get the thrill
Of seeing little folk in your garden
Tending gently to its needs
You must help these precious Angels
Keep your garden happy ~ please xx

Oi vie ~ what a day!!
Here's to happiness for your day!!
